Maybe im wrong... but i think that MGS4 is the reason why SH was given to US developers...

Silent Hill 4: The Room was developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo in 2003 and 2004.

I believe he meant SH: Homecoming. Neverthless, MGS4 was developed by Kojima Productions, wich is something completly different than Team Silent, so I guess that was not the reason why SH:H is being developed by other team.

I don't know why Konami don't give SH5 to some Japan developer team. I don't think that given that title to US developer is good idea, but I hope that Konami is controling everything.

PS: Fever is there some problem with serwer?

Heh... Team Silent exist NO more... i have listen to KP podcast and i have heard that ALL not working employes was taken to this game... over 200 people... and they have working from 2004 to 2008....

So...? They're working on something right now or they do not? However, why Konami would close Team Silent studio down? They were making SH all these years, Silent Hill is one of their most lucrative trademark...

Yes, Silent Hill: Homecoming was released today. Reviews I have read so far have been discouraging, as I expected. I do not intend to purchase it until it has come down in price, roughly ten months latter.

Hopefully Konami Digital Entertainment Japan will develop the next installment in Silent Hill.

I never understood either why Team Silent does not exist anymore. I'm not trying to be mean, after all I live in the US.
But they should have never given Silent Hill to American developers. Origins was ok, but it was very very inspired by Silent Hill 1, so there was not that much new stuff to make.

And what I heard about Homecoming, it seems like yet another Hollywood version of Silent Hill. That should have never happened.

I haven't played Homecoming either because I do not have a PS3. Still saving money up for that.

I've finished SH:H on my Xbox 360 a few days ago and I gotta say: bunch of crap. SH:H is IMO far better than Orogins was, it has "old" atmosphere and it's a good Silent Hill. And it's sooo much better than SH4, wich was meant to be different franchise than Silent Hill.

Seriously, after reading so many opinions about HC on our polish forums, I have a feeling that it's a minority of Silent Hill fans, whom declare such a statement.
