If the unspeakable were ever to occur and the Silent Hill series as we know it came to a tragic end, how would you handle it knowing Silent Hill is through with?

Simply, death would come to me!

I hope this day would never come! But if it happen all depends how good the last part would be. If it will be as the best parts of the series I would be very satisfied that my favourite game has wonderful ending.
But if it finished with somthing relly bad I wuld be angry on producers, that they destroy the effect of the best horror series.

Just like Pawcio I hope that day'll never come. And if Konami want to make next part's of SH just for money, without this climate, and fear, then better to say goodbye to SH.

IMO whole series should end on third part

I don't wanna see next volumes as mastered as fourth, which dont deserve to be called "Silent Hill" in any mean. There's not even Silent Hill (as place) in "The Room"

Silent Hill 4 was not at all bad. Yes it was, when compared to other installments of the series but I quite enjoyed it. At first look i was very dissapointed with the lack of darkness, no radio and all those things related to Silent Hill. But I started to play it in an other way. Listen to music, sounds, feel the atmosphere, observe the plot etc. Yes, the plot was great and this saved that game. Also the surrounding felling of confinement and unability to do anything...that was good-in my opinion of course.

As a friend of mine said the other day (angered about the absence of Silent Hill 5 at Gamers' Day 2007) "Silent Hill 5 - A Fan Creation." Not a bad idea. *obtains rights from Konami* :grin:

I don't dislike SH4, it just doesn't feel like a proper silent hill game, that's all.

Yeah I know, I dont have anything to your opinion, just said what I was thinking :wink:
Although it was good for me, it's still worser than other SH titles.

agreed. although i get pessimistic when i think that SH1 was my favorite, sh2 my 2nd favorite, sh3 my third favorite.. so in my opinion they get worse and worse (even though i still like them). but i am hoping that this will change and they will get better again. ^_^

We'll see. I think that Konami is reasearching whether players liked some of the elements in the series. If it is to be the last SH title, it will surely be produced with more attention and carefulness.

I hope so. But another thing is interesting, SH Orgins isn't made by Konami. It is going to be the same with SH5?

Silent Hill 5 undoubtedly will be fully developed by Konami Digital Entertainment. While Silent Hill: Origins does have out of house development the project is still under the complete authority of Konami.
