models not finished and not rendered at high quality because it's a test clip and rendering takes a long time (and i am impatient). our info from the site:
"The fan game is not a game mod, it was created from scratch by our game team. It is fully 3 dimensional and will have many levels, including some based on Silent Hill 1 levels (Midwich school, 2 hospitals, toluca lake) . Other areas will include Lisa's house, a new church, the forest, and the amusement park. The main character is Lisa, the nurse from SH1. There will be an original storyline with cutscenes and voice acting. It will be available in English, German, Russian, Spanish and Portuguese (and any other languages for which someone offers to help translate..)."

I've seen your design of "the room" at your forum and I must say, it's wonderful.
thanks. it's all unrendered and unshaded because i don't feel like waiting for it to render. also because i need a new graphics card (which i ordered and it's been shipped, so all in due time....)
English and German will be voiceovers and subtitles, the others probably just subtitles (unless of course someone wants to help me make the patch for them as well as finding people to voice the characters. the text translations are already done, i mean, what texts we have anyway...) Other languages will be downloadable patches or maybe included with it.

To speak unofficially, I believe those questions all have unknown answers.
As you know, developing a game is an extremely time and intellectual consuming project. Especially for ammeters, the process is all the more difficult and longer. The steps in developing a game go as followed: design ==> conception ==> modeling ==> textures ==> rigging ==> animation ==> special FX ==> programming ==> level design.

well, some test stuff runs on my old PC, so I don't think there will be a lot of problems there. the worst possibility is the shaders won't work, etc., so on older computers it won't look as good as on newer computers/graphics cards. we are determined to make it run well on as many computers as possible.
other than that, what TheFever said. ^_^ we've only been working on it since august and we have a small team (about 25 members) and we are amateurs and have school/work/life which gets in the way. in contrast, as an example, Silent Hill 2 had a team of about 50 professionals and took them 2 years, presumably all working full time on it. and we have only about 4 people doing models, everyone else working on story/text/translation.
I'd like to have a demo out by spring or early summer at least.

Download: it will be uploaded to several places to make download as easy as possible, in some places split into several rar files, other places all in one file.
What will the controls be like? As simple to use as possible, I hope, and hopefully will support gamepad though I haven't tried that yet. Right now it's setup as arrows for walking, space for action, I don't even remember the rest since that's all i'm using for now, I need more monsters before I can program the fighting in. ^_^
Soundtrack? Soundtrack will be by a small place of forgetting, though we may still need/be able to add a few other things.
What's the weather like? Mostly dark and rainy outdoors, maybe some foggy areas too. Indoors: dark with flashlight.
